Introducing Browse Searchandising Campaigns!

We’ve heard loud and clear from customers how much they love our recent release of Search Searchandising Campaigns which helps streamline merchandising efforts across multiple search terms. With that, Browse Searchandising Campaigns is a natural expansion of that capability. With this release, we’re adding the ability to select multiple categories or browse facet pages when creating browse rules. The experience is similar to what merchandisers already know and love in Search Searchandising Campaigns but adapted for the Browse context.

Browse Facet Page selector

The Searchandising Preview experience the same in Search and Browse Searchandising Campaigns where merchandisers will be able to see all the browse pages that the Searchandising rule or set of rules is applied to, with the ability to toggle between the individual pages to validate each of them individually within the campaigns view  All existing Searchandising rule types are available within Campaigns. This release will increase merchandiser efficiency just in time for the holiday season when it comes to creating rules for Browse Categories or Facet Pages.

Image Search API: Elevating Your Shopping Experience

We're thrilled to introduce the Image Search API, a powerful addition to our array of services designed to transform your shopper's experience. Now shoppers can replace textual queries with an image of what they're looking for, finding accurate visual matches. This is a valuable time saver for the shopper who has a hard time describing what they're looking for. For example, Instead of doing tedious research to find out the name of an attractive new jeans cut the shopper just saw in a magazine, with Constructor Image Search they can simply upload a picture of that piece to find matching options on your store.

Searching by image is a great functionality that offers various benefits for your business:

  • Enable users to find products more intuitively by simply uploading or linking an image, making the shopping experience smoother and more engaging.
  • Harness the power of visual similarity to help users discover products that closely match their preferences, driving higher conversion rates.
  • By offering image-based search, e-commerce businesses can stand out and foster greater customer engagement and loyalty.

The Search by Image API is a new offering in the Constructor's portfolio. It seamlessly integrates with your existing platform, expanding its capabilities.

In-depth documentation, complete with API endpoints, request parameters, and sample code, is readily available to facilitate the smooth integration of this feature into your website.

For more information on this exciting capability, feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager or contact us at support@constructor.io. We're here to support you every step of the way!

Token Rotation, Multiple API Tokens is Here!

Token Rotation, the feature that enables multiple active tokens simultaneously is here!

Our new token rotation capabilities give customers the ability to create and manage multiple active tokens at once. Rotating between tokens will no longer have any interruptions as both tokens can be active. With this, we’re introducing a new and improved dashboard interface which will provide the ability for admin users to generate up to five active tokens (we recommend keeping the minimum number of tokens necessary as additional tokens presents unnecessary security risk) and delete no longer required tokens at will.

New API Integration page with multiple active tokens available.

When the maximum of five active tokens have been generated the “New Token” button will be disabled. Similarly, if only one token remains, the delete button will be disabled to ensure that you always have at least one active token available. For ease of token identification and management, token names (up to 100 characters in length) are customizable and created dates are also displayed in the dashboard. In the name of security, a password is required when generating or deleting tokens. If you are using a SSO provider, SSO authentication will be challenged when generating or deleting tokens.

Improving Our A/B Testing Capability

As we continue to improve our A/B Testing capabilities, making sure that it remains easy and intuitive to use is especially important. With that in mind, we’re pleased to show you the latest set of updates.

To start with, we’ve improved the flow when setting up a test so that it’s easier to see the rules you can select, rather than popping them up in front of the rest of the configuration.

Continuing with the test setup page, we’ve added the ability to specify the percentage of your customers you want to see your test experience. As you can see in the above image, traffic splits from 5 to 95 percent can be chosen in 5 percent increments, so that you can carefully control the audience size for high-impact changes.

The chosen traffic split is also visible in the report page, as well as the tests listing page. Speaking of which, we’ve separated completed tests from those that are still running, so that it’s easier to find the tests you’re most interested in.

Advanced User Profiles in Interact

At Constructor, we take pride in our glassbox solutions, which means we want you to see and understand how our algorithms work for each individual user and how they impact your business. Driven by this commitment to transparency, we are excited to introduce a significant enhancement to the Impersonate feature in Interact – the advanced User Profiles.

To make product discovery truly personalized, we need to collect diverse data about each user. These data points include the user's location, device type, cumulative revenue, recent search and browse history, viewed items, cart contents, and completed purchases. With the new User Profile, merchandisers get the ability to explore a user's unique journey and dive deep into their interactions and personalization factors in an easy-to-understand visual experience.

Now when you pick a user and step into their “digital shoes” using Constructor’s Impersonate feature, it's easier than ever to see how their preferences and behaviors directly impact product rankings.

Additionally, for each user, our algorithms detect and display affinities towards products. This helps to understand why products with a specific attribute were ranked higher for a particular user.

The Impersonate feature is available in your dashboard within the Interact section. To use it, simply enter any search query, and click on the "Personal Attractiveness" toggle in the left sidebar. You'll then see a list of profiles through which you can view the search results as if you were the user behind the "eyes".

We believe that this enhancement helps merchandisers make better-informed decisions and provides transparency to better understand our personalization algorithms. As always, your feedback is crucial in helping us refine and improve our products. Feel free to reach out to your dedicated Customer Success representative or contact us at support@constructor.io if you have any questions.
