Recommendations analytics: purchases, revenue, and segmentation by platform
We constantly strive to provide merchandisers with a holistic view of performance across all stages of the product discovery journey. To deepen this understanding, we are excited to announce a significant update to Recommendations analytics.
With this latest release, merchandisers can now track key business metrics, such as purchases and revenue, for specific recommendation pods. While we've always used this data in our machine-learning algorithms, we want to give merchandisers greater visibility into it. After all, these are the critical metrics for making informed business decisions.
When viewing a specific pod's analytics, purchases and revenue—alongside familiar metrics such as sessions, views, clicks, and add-to-carts—are now available for tracking over a selected period of time and segmentation by platform (Desktop, Android, iOS, etc.). Together, they provide a comprehensive view of recommendations performance, from a pod's appearance in the shopping journey to the completion of a purchase.
There are two ways to find these analytics. You can navigate to Analytics > Recommendations, scroll to the table below the charts, and select a pod. Or, you can also find a pod through Workspace > Recommendations and click the analytics icon next to a certain pod.
