Merchandisers can now include the main product on a page in bundle/complete-the-look recommendations results, returned in the first position of results. This option makes it easier for shoppers to see the whole bundle/complete-the-look recommendations set and quickly make decisions on adding the entire set to cart. The image below shows bundle recommendations for a men’s blue jacket. With the primary product included in the results, shoppers can press “add all to cart” with one click and purchase the entire bundle. This approach reduces friction on shoppers and helps improve Average Order Value (AOV).

With this release, the bundles strategy will return the main product (the product recommendations were requested for) along with bundle recommendation results by default. Merchandisers will also have the ability to turn this setting off should you prefer not to have the primary item returned with bundle/complete-the-look recommendation results. The image below shows where in a bundles pod setup or editing screen this feature can be toggled on and off.
